West Ham Wins The Cup

Llandaff North 3rd XV Captain Wayne (West) Ham leads his boys to a great victory over Cathays last night at Canton. Coming from 6-0 down in the first few minutes the North battled well over a well drilled Cathays side. West Ham's efforts over the season finally paid of and after the first 15 minutes turned the game and never looked liked loosing. Even loosing Mark Cummings in the second half did not detract from a good performance. (Who said it got better when he was binned for swinging a punch that didn't connect - still at least it wasn't for chopsin at the ref) Stirling performances from Aldo, Touty, Joe and the rest of the boys ensured that the Ron Lucock Cup came back to The north for this year.

I think the final score was 18-6.

Good to see so many of our First XV at Canton last night, that's supporting from the touchline, not on the pitch. And the rest of the North supporters giving the boys encouragement.

Good to see not 1 regular 1st team player in the team. Bucking the trend eh! boys.
